Itinerary for Baviaanskloof Adventure

To secure accommodation and bikes, we would need a minimum of 8 people and a 25% deposit to be paid upon acceptance of the above. We look forward to hosting you in Baviaanskloof.

The meetup venue for the trip is the Ripple Hill Hotel in Patensie. For those flying in, the best destination is PE Airport (PLZ), which is just a 1 hour and 16-minute drive.

You have the option to drive from there or get in touch with us for airport pick-up and drop-off at an additional rate.

Start – Ripple Hill Hotel

Finish – Zandvlakte Lodge

Distance – 70km

We all meet at the Ripple Hill Hotel in Patensie at 08:00 for coffee and a briefing. From Patensie, we ride into the Baviaans through Kondoma Gate, over Bergplaas, and, after about 70 km, arrive at Zandvlakte Lodge.

The lodge is spectacular, and Piet, our host, will prepare a traditional braai with plenty of cold beers, etc. We provide a backup vehicle that carries all your clothes, spare bike, and fuel.

Start –  Zandvlakte Lodge

Finish – Ripple Hill Hotel

Distance – 70km

This is mostly the reverse route that we did on Day 1 as we exit the Baviaanskloof. The climb out of Bergplaas is probably the most difficult, but if you stay on the concrete strips, all will be fine. If all goes well, we arrive back at the Ripple Hotel for lunch, where we can shower before heading home.

Weekend Warrior Tru-Cape events has become are our ‘must go to stage races’ of the year.As cheap as you will ever get for a stage race experience.Day 1- nice & hard with some 'trail fun' reward coming home.Day 2 - to die for… fun fun fun - berms, jumps & fast flowing dense forest single track that don’t stop (keep them for next year please).Big shout out to the Endurade water stations - friendliest crew around. Good quality energy & electrolyte drinks & bars. Drinks are ice cold every time every year. Love the solid ‘old style food for champions’ like the bread sandwiches & bananas.Good food good trails. Can’t wait for the next one.

This was my third PEPlett and is was the best by far. The organisation was superb. Getting Food Lovers on board was genius. The villages are well laid out & the staff kept them immaculately clean. The new sections of trail were also a big surprise. You want something challenging but not unsafe. I really enjoyed every day.You can treat this event as a serious race or, as I prefer, a fantastic ride with good friends with time to stop & take a photo or two.Mike, Sandy, Shaun & now Jacques are a class act. Definitely be back next year!

If you want to feel special, do the 'M&G' PE Plett. Our accommodation was excellent and the routes magnificent. Best marked routes ever. You just could not go wrong. Distances and elevation very accurate. Stunning system of where you fit in at start with coloured bands. The vegetation and views made it extra special as well. I will definitely do this event again.
