Wild Coast Adventure

3 Days & 3 Nights • 2 Package Options

General Information

The 3-day ride between Trennerys Hotel and Kob Inn Beach Resort takes us through the entire coastal zone, owned by Nature Conservation. Consequently, there are no fences or houses, and the population is rural. The terrain is technical, but we do have the option to use escape routes if it becomes too tough. Over the three days, we cross countless rivers, follow cattle and sled paths in and out of the valleys, and ride the grassy hills alongside the coast.

Due to the technical nature of the Wild Coast, we chose to ride the indestructible Honda CRF 230, which will get us to places that even mountain goats would think twice about.

To secure accommodation and bikes, we would need a 25% deposit. Packages exclude drinks, gratuities, telephone calls, sundries and flights.

Itinerary for Wild Coast Adventure

To secure accommodation and bikes, we would need a minimum of 8 people and a 25% deposit to be paid upon acceptance of the above. We look forward to hosting you on the Wild Coast.

Day 1 • 17 April

The day we arive on the Wild Coast. The group arrives at Trennerys Hotel in the heart of the Wild Coast late afternoon and are introduced to the bikes, and for those that need riding gear, this is all tried and tested.

Day 2 • 18 April

It’s a full day ride to Kob Inn – 70km on the bikes. The route takes us along the coast, with a lunch stop at Wavecrest Hotel. There are many river crossings, the Kobonqaba, Cebe and Qora being some of the rivers we cross, with the Gorge into Kob Inn being the final challenge.

Day 3 • 19 April

The group departs from Kob Inn and we then cross the Jujura, Nagadla and Shixini Rivers all the way to Beecham Woods.

We then head inland back to Kob Inn and spend the afternoon at leisure in the pub or on the beach.

Day 4 • 20 April

We depart from Kob Inn after breakfast. The route home is more inland taking us through Manubi State Forest and onto Takazi waterfall.  A stop over at Wavecrest Hotel for some drinks before heading past onto our final destination. We normally are off the bikes by midday and we pack up and head for home.

Fantastic route and very well organised race. My 5th PEPLETT and definitely not the last. New sections of trails built specifically for the race every year. It just gets better and better.

Gorgeous trails and views, fun but challenging route, with hospitality on point as well. The positive rider comraderie along the 280kms of forest trails and backroads carried us through heatwaves and rainstorms, technicals and tumbles, with stories to tell.

Weekend Warrior Tru-Cape events has become are our ‘must go to stage races’ of the year.
As cheap as you will ever get for a stage race experience.
Day 1- nice & hard with some 'trail fun' reward coming home.
Day 2 - to die for… fun fun fun - berms, jumps & fast flowing dense forest single track that don’t stop (keep them for next year please).
Big shout out to the Endurade water stations - friendliest crew around. Good quality energy & electrolyte drinks & bars. Drinks are ice cold every time every year. Love the solid ‘old style food for champions’ like the bread sandwiches & bananas.
Good food good trails.
Can’t wait for the next one.

This was my third PEPlett and is was the best by far. The organisation was superb. Getting Food Lovers on board was genius. The villages are well laid out & the staff kept them immaculately clean. The new sections of trail were also a big surprise. You want something challenging but not unsafe. I really enjoyed every day.
You can treat this event as a serious race or, as I prefer, a fantastic ride with good friends with time to stop & take a photo or two.
Mike, Sandy, Shaun & now Jacques are a class act. Definitely be back next year!

If you want to feel special, do the 'M&G' PE Plett.
Our accommodation was excellent and the routes magnificent. Best marked routes ever. You just could not go wrong. Distances and elevation very accurate. Stunning system of where you fit in at start with coloured bands. The vegetation and views made it extra special as well. I will definitely do this event again.
