Where it all started

Formed back in 2001, predominantly as a team-building company Red Cherry Adventures and finally changing to Red Cherry Events in 2021.

Founded by Mike Glover who brought Prince William and Prince Harry over in 2011, Mike went on to stage the Roof of Africa and various other events.

Shaun, his son joined in 2018 and began handling the marketing and media side of things. Shaun grew events like Weekend Warrior in the Western Cape and helped take M&G Investments PE PLETT to the heights its at today.

With a superb and relatively small team, we have managed to successfully host and manage 15 of our own events in 2023 as well as deliver Infrastructure to some of the biggest events in South Africa.

Dirt Bike Tours Began

Dirt Bike Tour began and was the stepping stone and getting the RCE adventures to market.

2009

PE PLETT, Sea to Sea and Sea Ski came to life

3 new events came to life, adding to our growing list of events.

2010

Infrastructures Rental

We began offering our infastructure gear for rental.

2011

Prince William and Harry

We had the privilege of hosting Prince William and Harry on our tour.

2019

Launched Weekend Warrior

Our Western Cape Weekend Warrior series was launched.

2021

Name Change: Red Cherry Events

Went on to stage various events and changed our name from Red Cherry Adventures.

Western Cape Office

Opened up our offiice in Cape Town, WC.

Went Nationwide

RCE expanded their reach for 2023 and took 2 of our up to Gauteng in 2023.

Weekend Warrior Tru-Cape events has become are our ‘must go to stage races’ of the year.As cheap as you will ever get for a stage race experience.Day 1- nice & hard with some 'trail fun' reward coming home.Day 2 - to die for… fun fun fun - berms, jumps & fast flowing dense forest single track that don’t stop (keep them for next year please).Big shout out to the Endurade water stations - friendliest crew around. Good quality energy & electrolyte drinks & bars. Drinks are ice cold every time every year. Love the solid ‘old style food for champions’ like the bread sandwiches & bananas.Good food good trails.Can’t wait for the next one.

This was my third PEPlett and is was the best by far. The organisation was superb. Getting Food Lovers on board was genius. The villages are well laid out & the staff kept them immaculately clean. The new sections of trail were also a big surprise. You want something challenging but not unsafe. I really enjoyed every day.You can treat this event as a serious race or, as I prefer, a fantastic ride with good friends with time to stop & take a photo or two.Mike, Sandy, Shaun & now Jacques are a class act. Definitely be back next year!

If you want to feel special, do the 'M&G' PE Plett.Our accommodation was excellent and the routes magnificent. Best marked routes ever. You just could not go wrong. Distances and elevation very accurate. Stunning system of where you fit in at start with coloured bands. The vegetation and views made it extra special as well. I will definitely do this event again.
